Our Family Escape to Lagocamp: Exploring Lago Maggiore in Comfort

Larissa and Bernd, along with their two lively children, Emma (7) and Leo (5), decided to tick an item off their bucket list: exploring the stunning Lago Maggiore. Their choice to stay in one of Lagocamp’s new mobile homes proved to be the perfect decision for a family of four seeking space and convenience.
Why Lago Maggiore Was the Perfect Choice
“We always wanted to explore Lago Maggiore, it’s been on our bucket list for a while,” Larissa shared. “Because we have two children, we decided to book one of Lagocamp’s new mobile homes. The campsite is so peaceful, and the mobile homes have everything you need for a family of four. The scenery, the culture, and the chance to experience it all as a family made it an easy choice.”
The Glamping Mobile Home was perfect for relaxing at Lagocamp
From the moment they arrived, the serene atmosphere of the campsite impressed them. “It was so peaceful,” said Bernd. “We felt relaxed right away.” The mobile home offered pristine modern amenities, including air conditioning, a fully equipped kitchenette, and a cosy outdoor terrace. “The kids were so excited to have their own beds,” Larissa added. “It’s a luxury you don’t always get when camping.”
Mornings Sipping Coffee on the Terrace and Days by the Lago Beach
Each morning began with breakfast on the terrace. “Sitting there with a cup of coffee, looking out at the trees and hearing the birds, it’s hard to beat,” Bernd said. Afterwards, the family would head to the beach only a few steps away from the mobile home. While Emma and Leo played in the water , Larissa and Bernd relaxed under the shade of the trees, admiring the crystal-clear waters of Lago Maggiore.
Exciting Watersports for the Whole Family
“The kids loved the beach,” Larissa recalled. “They spent hours playing, and we could just unwind. It was perfect. What’s even better is the on-site watersports rental service. We didn’t have to worry about bringing our own stand up paddle boards, right by the water we were able to hire SUPs, kayaks and an underwater scooter for the kids and us. From a very friendly man Luke from Australia, it was great.”
Kid-Friendly Features That Stand Out
The campsite’s kid-friendly features quickly became a highlight of their stay. “Emma couldn’t get enough of the playground,” Larissa laughed. “And Leo made friends instantly at the ping-pong table,” Bernd added. Evenings were spent grilling fresh local produce at the barbecue corner. “Cooking outdoors with the family was such a treat,” said Larissa. “We felt like we were living the Italian summer dream.”
Exploring Nearby Towns and Local Markets
Beyond the campsite, the family ventured into charming towns like Cannobbio and Maccagno. “The ferry ride to Isola Bella was unforgettable,” said Bernd. “The palace gardens were stunning, and the kids were in awe of the history and beauty.” The local markets also caught their attention. “We picked up fresh cheeses, fruits, and bread, it was a feast!” Larissa said. “The kids even found little souvenirs to take home.”
“It really felt like a home away from home,” Larissa reflected. “Everything we needed was right there, and it made our holiday so stress-free.”
Why Lagocamp Is a Standout Destination for Families
Lagocamp’s combination of comfort, convenience, and stunning surroundings made it a standout destination for families. “For parents looking for both adventure and relaxation, this place is a dream,” said Bernd.
