Castles, museums, mountains, churches, gardens and parks: the list of excursion destinations and places worth seeing in the surroundings of Maccagno is huge and the discovery tours can be wonderfully combined with relaxation at the campsite.

Thanks to its particularly mild climate, the Lake Maggiore area is called “The Garden of Europe”. Italy’s second largest lake enchants you with its contrasts and fascinating variety of landscapes and culture: in the east the shore is barren and unspoilt, while in the west you will find magnificent villas and beautifully landscaped gardens with lemon and orange trees and palm trees.
