We are Flavia and Michael Frank, the owners of the beautiful campsite Lagocamp. Our goal is to make sure you have an unforgettable holiday and stay on Lake Maggiore.

Lagocamp is like a big family that focuses on great personal service and attention to detail with Italian creativity and German down-to-earth thinking. Our long-standing staff are the heart of the campsite and always at your disposal. With kindness and competence they will assist you at the reception, on the site, in the bar and in the shop.

Whether you arrive by motorhome / caravan / tent or rent a mobile home or holiday apartment: at Lagocamp you will always feel like part of the family and at home.

How to find us, the best routes!

By car

From the north

Via Switzerland, either via the Gotthard A2 motorway (E25/E35) or the San Bernardino A13 motorway (E43), exit at BELLINZONA SUD, then first head towards Locarno via Via Cantonale and at Magadino turn onto the SS394 towards LUINO at the roundabout. Continue on SS394 until Maccagno. After the small town of Maccagno Superiore follow the LAGOCAMP signs and turn right into Via Frat. Monaco Benefattori, continue following the signs.

From the south

Via Milan, A8 motorway (E62) in the direction of VARESE. At the exit VARESE EST follow direction Gazzada, tangenziale Nord Est di Varese and follow SS233 until Via Varesina / SP43 in Ghirla. Follow SP43 until Via Provinciale / SS394 in Mesenzana and follow direction Luino / Maccagno. After the hamlet of Maccagno Inferiore follow the LAGOCAMP signs and turn left into Via Frat. Monaco Benefattori, continue following the signs.

By train

Maccagno has a small railway station.

From the north

Via Zurich (direction Chiasso or Milan), change trains in Bellinzona or Cadenazzo to Maccagno.

From the south

Via Milan (direction Cadenazzo- Bellinzona), change trains in Gallarate.

By plane

The nearest airport is Milan-Malpensa (about 65 km), with train connection to Maccagno, usually with change in Gallarate.

Other connections

Direct ferry service from Maccagno to Luino, Cannobio and Cannero Riviera and bus service to Luino (information at reception).
