Our family-friendly campsite offers fun for children of all ages. Apart from the beach, where they can swim and play all day, the little ones can let off steam in two of our new children’s playground areas or in the playroom. A table tennis area also awaits the new champions.

Dogs are welcome guests at our Lagocamp. In the heart of beautiful natural landscapes, dogs as well as their owners enjoy this recreational space. During the renovation of the new sanitary building, we especially thought of dogs as part of the Lagocamp family and installed an outside dog shower with a drying area, so that your dog can be washed and feel right at home.

Apart from the beach and lake, where you can swim, relax, play, stand up paddle or canoe, the campsite itself has a lot to offer: two new children’s playgrounds, a playroom for the little ones and a new table tennis area.

Lake Maggiore offers numerous opportunities and locations to go on beautiful hikes and bike rides in a stunning setting and landscape, whether you are alone, in a group, with children or with your dog.

Maccagno is ideally situated for great excursions and day trips to the numerous sights on Lake Maggiore: Canobbio, Cannero Riviera, Stresa the Borromean Islands, the Veddasca Valley, Luino, Laveno, Locarno, Ascona are just some of the places and attractions that can be easily reached from our Lagocamp campsite by the ferry or car.

Lake Maggiore is also a culinary delight and the cuisine is varied to suit everyone. In Maccagno itself, but also in the neighbouring villages, there are great restaurants, pizzerias, ice cream parlours and bars for all to enjoy.

When it comes to weekly markets on Lake Maggiore, you are really spoilt for choice. Every day there is a market in a different town that offers various: fruits, vegetables, local cheeses, meat, but also household goods, clothing, leather goods, bags, shoes and accessories.

Thanks to its particularly mild climate, the Lake Maggiore area is called “The Garden of Europe”. The second largest lake in Italy enchants you with its diversity and its fascinating variety of landscapes and culture.

In the high season we regularly organise leisure activities to bring you closer to Lake Maggiore in cultural, sporting and culinary learning and education. Exciting and interesting day trips by car to places like attractions, exciting boat trips, guided bike tours, cooking courses, grappa tastings and book readings.

Entertainment in the high season already starts at the campsite. The Lagocamp family organises cocktail and music evenings, themed parties, entertaining, book readings and much more.

On rainy days there is still plenty to do around Lake Maggiore!
